The NHS team will be at the centre on Thursday, 4th August and Thursday, 22nd September from 10am – 4pm to offer advice and support to anyone interested in quitting. They will also be offering carbon monoxide tests to show how the habit is affecting smokers.
A spokesperson from Leicestershire Partnership Trust NHS County Stop Smoking Service, said: “Our recent visit to the centre was very well received by the shoppers. We referred a number of people to the Marlene Reid Centre where a drop in is held every Saturday (except Bank Holiday weekends) from 9.30am to 11.30am. We also had the opportunity to speak to many people who had quit with the help of our service and find out how they are progressing”.
