Coalville Comes Alive in a Festival of Street Theatre - 19 Jun 13

Atizani –Desert Island Discs: A tropical island, a gramophone, and one hapless castaway. 20 years pass in 40 minutes as records spin and rescue never comes, then as the island gives up its secret the show ends in a beautifully surreal spectacular finale.

Shandy South: a unique fusion of street dance, mime and comedy, this amazing one man funky comedy mime show has it all from acro balancing, the matrix, robotic masked mime to vocal beat boxing street locking, body popping, costume changes, and audience participation,

Jelly Rollers – The Dragon: All ages are invited to operate the half dozen handles which launch 12ft tall George the Dragon into a grand display. He plays music, blows bubbles and displays the joys and ingenuity of mechanical engineering.

Stuff and Things –Edmond Tahl: Walkabout mime show with soundtrack. Edmond finds himself trapped in a world where the bizarre is always close on his heels. He tries to keep his composure amidst angry bees, spaghetti western gun fights, alarm bells, improbably large monsters, ringing telephones, and packs of hunting hounds.

Talking Birds – The Whale: Step inside the giant aluminium whale and experience a show for an audience of just one or two. Meet a submariner called Jonah and help him send a message to his loved one on shore.

Helter Skelter Arts: Folk dance walkabout and giant flowers on stilts from this new company based just up the road in Loughborough.
