Jelly Rollers – The Dragon: All ages are invited to operate the half dozen handles which launch 12ft tall George the Dragon into a grand display. He plays music, blows bubbles and displays the joys and ingenuity of mechanical engineering.
Stuff and Things –Edmond Tahl: Walkabout mime show with soundtrack. Edmond finds himself trapped in a world where the bizarre is always close on his heels. He tries to keep his composure amidst angry bees, spaghetti western gun fights, alarm bells, improbably large monsters, ringing telephones, and packs of hunting hounds.
Talking Birds – The Whale: Step inside the giant aluminium whale and experience a show for an audience of just one or two. Meet a submariner called Jonah and help him send a message to his loved one on shore.
Helter Skelter Arts: Folk dance walkabout and giant flowers on stilts from this new company based just up the road in Loughborough.
Established in the mid 80’s, Mantle Arts is based in Coalville. It delivers a wide variety of arts projects, in Leicestershire and beyond. Coalville Comes Alive repeats the hugely successful festival from 2009. It has been funded by The National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund and by North West Leicestershire District Council.
